Business Intelligence (BI) Team

GMG is a data driven business, therefore this makes BI team is the core of the business here at GMG. Currently, BI team is a team of 8 individuals who are experts in their areas with excellent problem solving skills and continuous learning mind-set.

General day to day tasks in BI team include querying the customer database, providing reports, insights, targeting data for marketing activities, managing pricing data, building predictive models for better customer engagement, defining customer journeys and discovering customer stories.

BI team at GMG works with marketing (social + international), trading, engineering, finance and content. Therefore, it provides a great opportunity to learn and master multiple stakeholder relationship + end-to-end project management.



  • Managing the data requests for marketing campaigns (mainly email & sms)

  • Liaising with the Marketing team to identify the best targeting segments for the campaign communications.

  • Extracting data from the BI database by using SQL

  • Providing data to our email service provider solution

  • Supporting customer journeys for digital marketing and driving personalization through email and sms channels

  • Review and analyze the digital campaign results and recommend options for improvement


  • (Mandatory) The candidate should be an advanced SQL user and have working experience with big customer databases

  • (Preferable) The candidate should be able to read and write code in Python or R

  • (Mandatory) At least 2 years of experience with marketing campaign data in CRM or Digital Marketing teams, especially within Email Marketing Teams

  • Experience with Email Service Providers, especially Amazon Pinpoint

  • Understanding of ETL process and experience with Amazon services such as SageMaker, Athena and S3 would be useful

  • (Mandatory) Experience using Looker and Google Analytics or similar business intelligence software for reporting and data visualizations

  • Experience with JIRA

  • Experience in E-commerce or Gaming industries

  • Comfortable with reading and writing technical documentation

  • Comfortable with email planning and briefing processes for email campaigns

  • Excellent communicator

  • Multiple price territories is mandatory

  • E-commerce, Finance or FMCG experience

  • Experience with reporting tools is mandatory
